Beyond black and red: This rare Veyron 16.4 is still hitting the road

The original Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is forever iconic in its black and red spec, that unmistakable combo we all know and love. But the one we're looking at here breaks from tradition in the best possible way. Instead of the classic black as the main body color, this Veyron wears a deep, dark brown that really comes to life under sunlight. It’s a subtle shift, but one that gives it a very different character. The secondary color is a rich, deep orange mixed with red tones, making for a striking and unique appearance that stands out even among other Veyrons.

For me, the Veyron is still one of the sexiest cars to come out of the early 2000s, a machine so far ahead of anything else at the time that it still feels special today. I mean, just think about it: 1,001 hp. That kind of number wasn’t just rare back then, it was basically unheard of for a production car. These days, you’ve got 1,000 hp cars left and right, whether it’s hypercars or high-end EVs. And if you step into the world of tuning, with names like Underground Racing, 9FF, or even some seriously built Nissan R35 GT-Rs, 2'000+ hp is totally achievable, and in some cases, just the starting point.

But even with all the crazy numbers we see today, there’s still something absolutely mind-blowing about the Veyron’s W16 engine, not just a sixteen-cylinder powerhouse, but one with four turbochargers strapped to it. That setup was wild back then and, honestly, it still is today. It’s mechanical insanity in the best way possible.

Now, this specific Veyron isn’t new to us. It wasn’t just spotted for the first time recently, in fact, the first sighting we have of it goes back to 2018. And not in Geneva, where it's originally from, but all the way down in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro. That’s roughly 1,500 kilometers from Geneva. Whether the owner actually drove it all the way or had it transported just to enjoy it down there, we don’t know for sure. But either way, it’s seriously cool to see this Veyron still being driven, especially considering it’s been seven years since its last documented appearance.
